Mama Rosa

Hello All,

I trust you had a memorable time with your family celebrating the birth of our precious Lord and Savior.

I hope you will forgive me for not posting until now. Wow, what a month December has been !

In trying to redeem myself, I would like to fill you in on our month. The month began with settling in the team from Nicaragua. It is incredible ( once again ) to see how the Lord uses us. We indeed are so humble but grateful that he does.

It was on December 8th that things really began to roll. Mama Rosa had an extensive knee surgery. Many of you know she had been suffering since April. She did not allow that to keep her from serving the Lord . She set the pace for the rest of us, working for Him with GREAT pain in her knee.
Praise be to The Lord Almighty, she is doing well, but therapy is a big part of her day. If the Lord should bring her to your remembrance, please pray for her to have complete recovery as she is ready to be about The Father's Business more than ever .

Much love to all of you,
Lisa

Mighty Team of Eight

Hello All,

Praise The Lord, He is using the MIGHTY TEAM OF EIGHT !

They had approx. 500 children in Vacation Bible School at one time this week. INCREDIBLE ! They were able to minister with crafts, coloring, snacks and Bible Story. It is amazing what the Lord will do if we are only willing. In our natural being, there is no way a small number can handle a crowd of 500. But with God all things are possible.

If HE can feed 5000 with a little boy's lunch, he can do it with us. He wants to prove Himself to us, but we must be willing.

Are you willing to do what he asks ? His way is better than ours, ask Him for direction, I know he will guide you. But be willing.....

Love to you all,
Lisa

update from Puerta Cabeza

Hello All,

Below is an email from the team. Please keep praying for them. God is using them to minister to the precious people of Nicaragua, and in return God is ministering to them. INCREDIBLE ! WHAT A GREAT AND GLORIOUS GOD WE SERVE !

Went to welcoming committee today and it was 1 awesome service. About 125 -150 people from all different Churches, really on fire for Jesus. Little girls ages 5-12 sang 3 songs with hands praising and eyes closed. Teenagers led congregation in high octane praise. Womens choir, and I mean at least 35 females, honored us with praise music. Men's choir, not nearly as many, got on with it. We all rode back from service in back of grain truck with 62 of'em. Not one was out of the way in the least. Different world here Lisa. People working, kids in school, peace in the city, people really worshiping authentically. Haven't been to feed any kids yet, but it's coming. We've been ministered to greatly! Gotta go.

top notched crew

Hello All,

We believe we have the very best volunteers of all. We had a yard sale fundraiser this past weekend and boy did they work hard. Even, in the absence of Pastor Lou and Mrs. Rosa it went without fail.

Thank you...Thank you...Thank you....

Proverbs 19:17
He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.

Please know your reward awaits you....

update from Puerta Cabeza

Hello,

Please find below a note from Pastor Lou and Mrs. Rosa ~

Sunday Night ....

We went to church and boy did we have a service. The electricity of the Holy Spirit was so powerful that people had a hard time standing. Many people were touch including your mother. She went out under the power of the Holy Ghost and got up so drunk Herman had to help her. After the service we went to dinner and got back to the room about 10:30pmThere is so much more to tell, but will wait until we arrive home.

Monday....We had a pastor's confernece; it was great to see so many pastors having hope that God sent someone to encourage them, even the COG overseer said that he was blessed and encouraged and prayed that we would return to spark excitement in the Holy Ghost.Oh the heart breaking stories I have to tell about how the rats were taking over a village and how so many died in hurricane Fleix. There is one church who is taking care of 75 kids to parents died who in that hurricane. It will bring tears to your eyes and break your heart.

It was hard to eat lunch after hearing the stories of kids without parents. I still tear up just telling you about it.We then went to the radio station where I spoke to half the country and told them about the Love of Jesus and how to increase their faith.

Rosa is walking better without that walker, Praise The Lord !

On a mission for Jesus,
Pastor Lou

We will have a tour of opportunities for ministry to The Miskito Indians. We will return to Managua where we will meet with Larry & Donna Wright . We will then go to Matagalpa, Nicaragua where we will be looking for opportunities of ministry. If we have time we will go to Esteli and search for ministry opportunties as well(and oh yes ! we will find time to see, our little Dacs).

bracelets with lots of love

I would like to mention the bracelets that were given out in Nicaragua this last trip. Mr. Scott and Ms. Jessica's first and second graders from Hamiliton Crossroads Baptist Church made over 100 bracelets for the children of Nicaragua. The children were thrilled to receive them. As you can see from the photo they wore them proudly and were thankful.

Thank you Scott and Jessica for the time you are investing in the children of Union County and in Central America. You are a blessing to us !

Go BOLMM !

The girls took a few minutes from working the yard sale to cheer on BOLMM !

never to young to work

We had one of our August Yard Sales ( the other is scheduled for 8/22 and 8/23 ).

Our young people worked so hard in the nearly 100 degree temps. We even had four year old, Summer and five year old, Jordan helping sort clothes, hand out bags and offer bottled water to thirsty customers. I think we have the best group of young people in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD !

Thank you young people. It is incredible to see how God is shaping you day by day. We are so proud of you and appreciate your dedication to BOLMM and the people of Central America and Union County.

Cameron and Company

Cameron was such a blessing to the children of Nicaragua and Honduras. He played marbles, performed cartwheels, wrestled, played soccer and sprinkled lots of love.

It was so much fun to see him 'minister ' even at ten years old.

' Poppy ' preaches in the rain

' Poppy " persevered and delivered the Unchanging Word of God to the committed people of
Jicaro Bonito. He did not let the weather distract him. He plugged along and many seeds were sowed in the hearts of the people despite the weather.

Rusty dedicates a baby

A precious Mama requested that her little one be dedicated to The Lord Jesus Christ. What a blessing it was to see the dependency she had for the Lord. She realized she could not raise this child without His help.

Linda and her creatures

Linda has a love for animals. All kinds....dogs, cats, pigs, birds specifically chickens. She made certain God's creatures were taking care of. She fed the dogs cookies, the pigs crackers and the chicken water.

Thomas in Honduras

Thomas made new friends 2400 miles from home. What joy it was to see him ministering to the children. He did many different things... one of which was distributing hats to the children.

Thank you ,Thomas for being a blessing to us and the people of Honduras.

Day 10- Heading North

Wake up call is for 3:00...a.m. that is ! Take off is for 7:05 am ! We are heading home...mixed emotions. Is it possible for your heart to be in two places at the same time ?

What a week it has been. God has done some incredible things. Praise His Name Forever ! We are so grateful He would use us and are so thankful He did.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. From the bottom of our hearts; the lives that were touched will be changed for ever and would not be possible without your help.

Thank you...Thank you..Thank you and many blessings back to you.

Day 9

Our week is coming to a close.

Today, Rusty, ' Poppy', and Mr. Bill ministered to the men of Somotillo one more time . This was the second meeting , the first of which was Friday Night. They fed the men each meeting and ministered to them individually. Men were encouraged to take their place as godly men. They were told explicitly how to be godly men and what steps they need to take to achieve it.

Thank you guys for sharing your heart and planting seeds in the hearts of the men of Somotillo.

Day 8- Mr. Bill's Girls

Hello,

What a joy it was to see Mr. Bill love on the his precious girls at "The Rose House". He and Lindsey brought special things for each of them and boy was it a treat ! They were so excited to get new pants, shirt, shoes, hair bows, and a special stuffed animal.

We were able to have some play time with them. We learned a new version of hide and seek. It was so much fun to see them laughing and hearing their precious little giggles.

Day 7- VBS

Hello,

What a blast we had today. We conducted VBS at the village of Torres. Myra and Scott did an outstanding job with nearly 75 little ones. They ministered with a Bible Story, puppets, bubbles, coloring sheets, cookies/kool-aid, and lots of LOVE.

Thank you Scott and Myra for your ever so willing heart. What blessing you are to the entire team.

Day 6- Pastor Lou's heart

Day 6 was a monumental day. We had the pastor's conference and My Oh My was it ever so moving !

God has given Pastor Lou a heart of encouraging, edifying and exhorting pastors... especially those of Nicaragua.
We had nearly 50 people to come from various villages. God really showed up. We fed the men and ladies spiritually as well as physically. It was really fun to serve them a hot meal with all the "fixins" and ministering to their souls was the icing on the cake.

The men and ladies left with an arm full. We were able to give them a shirt, pants, tie, Bibles and some even got shoes.

Thank you to all who gave men's clothing...it was truly a blessing.

Marty's New Eternal Friends

Praise The Lord, these men will be in heaven with Marty !!!! Awesome huh ?

Day 2

the ' serving crew '
Hello All,
What an incredible day we had. God is truly awesome. Honestly, we are unable to put into words how truly great and wonderful He really is. We started the day with our morning Bible Study led by Rosa in challenging us to let our lights
shine. She left us with a quote " I have but one candle of life to burn, and I would rather burn it out in a land filled with darkness than in a land flooded with light ".

We then headed to Maysa for men's and ladies meetings. What a glorious time we had. In the men's meeting we had six souls to be saved and one in the ladies meeting along with two ladies who wanted to rededicate their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mr. Bill, Rusty, " Poppy' and Marty covered alot of terriority in the service. The men were so attentative. They were absorbing God's Word like sponges. The men covered nearly every base from having "the favor of God" to " how to be a husband and daddy " to "having pride" and lastly were given instructions on "how to study God's Word ". Thank you men for your planting of seeds. I am sure the men felt your love and care for them.

After the service each men were served lunch and given their pants, shirt and sock package. Thank you again for giving these items. What a blessing it was to ' treat ' these men to a special, special time and to be able to love on them.
Thank you for your prayers...Sunday we are heading back to Maysa and then off to Somotillo.
Much love and blessings to you today.
Lisa

Youth Fundraiser

Hello To All,

What an incredible job God did through the youth of BOLMM. The BBQ they sponsored over the weekend was a success, and they reached their goal.

Thank you to all who helped....especially, Jennifer and Jamie traveling 3 hours just to help out for a few hours. They came at the right time when we were in desperate need... God is so faithful.

Much love and blessings to you all,
Lisa

Youth Fundraiser

Hello All,

Please forgive me for not updating sooner. There were a few cliches' to the system. Thankfully, I think we are back on track.

I trust everyone is doing well and enjoying the new year. God is surely doing some neat things in Monroe, NC. It is incredible. I pray you are seeking and pursuing Him with all your heart....Draw near to God and He will draw near to you; the Bible says.

Keshia, has a burden for the school teachers of Pasequla. They are need of transportation. Currently, they are walking to school each morning. In my estimation the walk is about 4-5 miles each way. She has felt the Lord leading to do something about it. She and the other teenagers are sponsoring a barbeque March 9th and 10th at New Life Church of God, in
Monroe NC. If you are in the area, please stop in. If you can't we understand.

God is truly doing some awesome things in the hearts of the young people. He is equipping them for great and mighty things. It is such a blessing to be apart of that !

If God brings the teenagers to your heart and mind, please pray that God will give them a hunger and a thirsting for Him and only Him, and that He would guide us in this fundraiser.

Much love and blessings to you all,
Lisa
